I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Gum chon 2? Is Gum chon 2 safe for nursing mother and child? Does Gum chon 2 extracts into breast milk? Does Gum chon 2 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Gum chon 2 influence milk supply or can Gum chon 2 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

This is a moss that contains a lot of mucilage, Gum chon 2in (Galactose polymers), much Iodine and some Arsenic. The Commission E of the German Ministry of Health has not approved any medical indication of this plant. Traditionally used as a laxative drug. It is also used to make fluids thicker or jelly-like in the food and cosmetic industry. We have to take into account its content of iodine in order to achieve WHO’s recommendations on Iodine supplementation.
