Hydrocarbure derivative used to produce paintings, explosives, herbicides, polyurethane and dyes. After ingestion or inhalation it may cause methahemoglobinemia. It may also cause of local irritation by direct exposure. Carcinogenic effect is likely. Keep TLV-TWA (Threshold Limit Value - Time Weighted Average) lower than 5 ppm. Benefits of breastfeeding are largely more important than risk related to the content of mild level environmental pollutants in human milk, in many instances, they are lower than those found in cow’s milk or other food.
