I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Vadex? Is Vadex safe for nursing mother and child? Does Vadex extracts into breast milk? Does Vadex has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Vadex influence milk supply or can Vadex decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Vadex (dextrose), as a component of oral re-hydration solutions, fluids for IV use, or, as excipient of drugs, is entirely compatible with breastfeeding. Nevertheless, D/W solutions orally used in neonates just after birth are highly discourage since it may affect initiation of lactation seriously.
