I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use TX 15338? Is TX 15338 safe for nursing mother and child? Does TX 15338 extracts into breast milk? Does TX 15338 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can TX 15338 influence milk supply or can TX 15338 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

A topical anti-fungal treatment from the imidazole family applied to the skin or vaginally. Negligible systemic absorption through the skin (Effik 2010) or vaginal mucosa (Novelli 1991) make it very unlikely that significant amounts pass into breast milk. Do not apply on nipple-areola or alternatively clean before breastfeeding. It is advisable to avoid the application to the nipple of creams, gels and other topical products containing paraffin (mineral oil) so that the infant does not absorb them (Concin 2008, Noti 2003)
