I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use RS 1280? Is RS 1280 safe for nursing mother and child? Does RS 1280 extracts into breast milk? Does RS 1280 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can RS 1280 influence milk supply or can RS 1280 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Synthetic progestin-related drug similar to the progesterone used for treatment of uterine bleeding, dysmenorrhea, infertility and occasionally for prostate problems.It has been used as a birth control medication, as single component or in combination with estrogen (e.g. mestranol + chlormadinone). No changes in prolactin were observed on plasma levels or milk production in women treated with chlormadinone. During lactation progestin-only drugs are preferred or in combination with estrogen for birth control, but whatever, the ones with the lower doses of estrogen should be used.For the first 6 weeks postpartum, non-hormonal methods are of choise.
