I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use 17-alpha-Acetoxy-6-chloro-6-dehydroprogesterone? Is 17-alpha-Acetoxy-6-chloro-6-dehydroprogesterone safe for nursing mother and child? Does 17-alpha-Acetoxy-6-chloro-6-dehydroprogesterone extracts into breast milk? Does 17-alpha-Acetoxy-6-chloro-6-dehydroprogesterone has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can 17-alpha-Acetoxy-6-chloro-6-dehydroprogesterone influence milk supply or can 17-alpha-Acetoxy-6-chloro-6-dehydroprogesterone decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Synthetic progestin-related drug similar to the progesterone used for treatment of uterine bleeding, dysmenorrhea, infertility and occasionally for prostate problems.It has been used as a birth control medication, as single component or in combination with estrogen (e.g. mestranol + chlormadinone). No changes in prolactin were observed on plasma levels or milk production in women treated with chlormadinone. During lactation progestin-only drugs are preferred or in combination with estrogen for birth control, but whatever, the ones with the lower doses of estrogen should be used.For the first 6 weeks postpartum, non-hormonal methods are of choise.
