I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use WR 4873? Is WR 4873 safe for nursing mother and child? Does WR 4873 extracts into breast milk? Does WR 4873 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can WR 4873 influence milk supply or can WR 4873 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

A low concentration is reached in breast milk. It is commercialized in several countries (not in Spain) together with Pyrimethamine (see the latter drug) as an anti-malarial drug: Fansidar: 20 parts of Sulphadoxine by 1 of Pyrimethamine. Manufacturers give a dosage for children weighing more than 5 kg.
