It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory topically used which is chemically related to Mefenamic acid. There are also formulations for oral use. Excreted into breast milk in a clinically non-significant amount even after oral administration. Because a low dose used and a poor absorption into the plasma of most dermatological preparations for topical use, its appearance in the breast milk is even less likely. The American Academy of Pediatrics rated it as usual compatible with breastfeeding.
