I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Surika? Is Surika safe for nursing mother and child? Does Surika extracts into breast milk? Does Surika has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Surika influence milk supply or can Surika decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory topically used which is chemically related to Mefenamic acid. There are also formulations for oral use. Excreted into breast milk in a clinically non-significant amount even after oral administration. Because a low dose used and a poor absorption into the plasma of most dermatological preparations for topical use, its appearance in the breast milk is even less likely. The American Academy of Pediatrics rated it as usual compatible with breastfeeding.
