Used for local treatment of Crohn’s Disease. A low absorption makes a significant excretion into breast milk unlikely. Because of a high serum protein-binding capacity, the presence in the milk is more unlikely. A low oral bioavailability protects the infant by limiting absorption of drug. Most expert's opinion is that topical, oral or inhaled steroid medication is compatible with breastfeeding,
