Fruit, seeds and bark of tree are used. It contains polysaccharides ( galactomannan mucilage), tannins and flavonoids. Unproved effects: fullness feeling, astringent, drug-induced hypoglycemia. Indications after Commission E of German Ministry of Health: none. Daily dose: 4 g of pulverized product.
