I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Broncho-Spray? Is Broncho-Spray safe for nursing mother and child? Does Broncho-Spray extracts into breast milk? Does Broncho-Spray has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Broncho-Spray influence milk supply or can Broncho-Spray decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Bronchodilator medication similar to Terbutaline that is excreted into breast milk in non-significant amount. Inhaled preparations are preferred since they are absorbed less than 10 %. Consensus among experts on the compatibility of inhaled bronchodilators exists because its minimal absorption and low serum levels in the mother.

Although no published data exist on the use of Broncho-Spray by mouth or inhaler during lactation, data from the related drug, terbutaline, indicate that very little is expected to be excreted into breastmilk.[1] The authors of several reviews and an expert panel agree that use of inhaled bronchodilators is acceptable during breastfeeding because of the low bioavailability and maternal serum levels after use.[2][3][4][5][6]
