I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Metrodin? Is Metrodin safe for nursing mother and child? Does Metrodin extracts into breast milk? Does Metrodin has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Metrodin influence milk supply or can Metrodin decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Low risk. It is not secreted into breast milk because of a large molecular weight. It is readily destroyed by the child’s stomach acid milieu. It has an estrogenic effect. Theoretically, it may decrease breast milk production. Take into account the known anovulatory effect of breastfeeding. However, by taking this drug the opposite effect is desired.
