Antidote to treat methemoglobinemia due to nitrites, aniline, cyanides and other toxic drugs. It has been even recommended on treatment schedules for infants. Usually used on a single dose basis. Avoid it on those patients suffering of G-6-P dehydrogenasa deficiency.
