Is Pen-Di-Ben Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Pen-Di-Ben? Is Pen-Di-Ben safe for nursing mother and child? Does Pen-Di-Ben extracts into breast milk? Does Pen-Di-Ben has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Pen-Di-Ben influence milk supply or can Pen-Di-Ben decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

: Limited information indicates Pen-Di-Ben produces low levels in milk that are not expected to cause adverse effects in breastfed infants. Occasionally disruption of the infant's gastrointestinal flora, resulting in diarrhea or thrush have been reported with penicillins, but these effects have not been adequately evaluated. Pen-Di-Ben is acceptable in nursing mothers.

A breastfed 1-month-old infant with congenital syphilis developed a Herxheimer reaction 6 hours after its mother received 2.4 million units of Pen-Di-Ben intramuscularly. However, the baby had also received 10 units of penicillin G at about the same time as the mother's injection. The reaction was possibly caused by penicillin in breastmilk.[2]
