Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use EINECS 263-749-4? Is EINECS 263-749-4 safe for nursing mother and child? Does EINECS 263-749-4 extracts into breast milk? Does EINECS 263-749-4 has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can EINECS 263-749-4 influence milk supply or can EINECS 263-749-4 decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About EINECS 263-749-4 usage in lactation

Limited information indicates EINECS 263-749-4 produces low levels in milk that are not expected to cause adverse effects in breastfed infants. Occasionally disruption of the infant's gastrointestinal flora, resulting in diarrhea or thrush have been reported with cephalosporins, but these effects have not been adequately evaluated. EINECS 263-749-4 is acceptable in nursing mothers.
