Occasionally disruption of the infant's gastrointestinal flora, resulting in diarrhea or thrush have been reported with cephalosporins, but these effects have not been adequately evaluated. syn-7-(2-(2-Amino-4-thiazolyl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid is acceptable in nursing mothers.
