Question

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use UNII-C43C467DPE? Is UNII-C43C467DPE safe for nursing mother and child? Does UNII-C43C467DPE extracts into breast milk? Does UNII-C43C467DPE has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can UNII-C43C467DPE influence milk supply or can UNII-C43C467DPE decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

Answer by DrLact: About UNII-C43C467DPE usage in lactation

Limited information indicates that UNII-C43C467DPE produces low levels in milk that are not expected to cause adverse effects in breastfed infants. Occasionally disruption of the infant's gastrointestinal flora, resulting in diarrhea or thrush have been reported with cephalosporins, but these effects have not been adequately evaluated. UNII-C43C467DPE is acceptable in nursing mothers.
