Is Zileuton Safe in Breastfeeding
Question
I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Zileuton? Is Zileuton safe for nursing mother and child? Does Zileuton extracts into breast milk? Does Zileuton has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Zileuton influence milk supply or can Zileuton decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No published information is available on the use of zileuton during breastfeeding; however, manufacturer's data indicate that the dose in milk is low. Because there is no published experience with zileuton during breastfeeding, an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
