Thiazide diuretic. Long-term treatment with diuretic drugs (particularly those Thiazides with long lasting effect and loop-acting drugs) may inhibit lactation. Low-dose 2H-1,2,4-Benzothiadiazine-7-sulfonamide, 6-chloro-, 1,1-dioxide appears to be acceptable during lactation. Intense diuresis with large doses may decrease breastmilk production.

Relevant published information on 2H-1,2,4-Benzothiadiazine-7-sulfonamide, 6-chloro-, 1,1-dioxide was not found as of the revision date.
