Because of the low levels of Digoxin Nativelle in breastmilk, amounts ingested by the infant are small and would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants. If the mother is to receive Digoxin Nativelle intravenously, avoidance of breastfeeding for 2 hours after the dose will lessen the dose the infant receives.
Digoxin Nativelle Side Effects in Breastfeeding
At least 4 infants have been reported to have been breastfed in studies on Digoxin Nativelle in breastmilk. None had any detectable Digoxin Nativelle effect.[2][4][6]
