Answer by DrLact: About Digoxin-Sandoz usage in lactation

Because of the low levels of Digoxin-Sandoz in breastmilk, amounts ingested by the infant are small and would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants. If the mother is to receive Digoxin-Sandoz intravenously, avoidance of breastfeeding for 2 hours after the dose will lessen the dose the infant receives.

Digoxin-Sandoz Side Effects in Breastfeeding

At least 4 infants have been reported to have been breastfed in studies on Digoxin-Sandoz in breastmilk. None had any detectable Digoxin-Sandoz effect.[2][4][6]
