American Academy of Pediatrics: Maternal Medication Usually Compatible With Breastfeeding.
Because of the low levels of Digitek in breastmilk, amounts ingested by the infant are small and would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants. If the mother is to receive Digitek intravenously, avoidance of breastfeeding for 2 hours after the dose will lessen the dose the infant receives.
At least 4 infants have been reported to have been breastfed in studies on Digitek in breastmilk. None had any detectable Digitek effect.[2][4][6]
