Psycho-stimulant used for treatment of Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder. On latest update relevant data on breastfeeding was not found. Although a high plasma protein binding makes excretion into breast milk likely very low, until more information concerning breastfeeding is available, a safer alternative is preferred.

There is no published experience with atomoxetine during breastfeeding, although reports from the manufacturer found no serious advese effects in two breastfed infants. An alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
