I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Rotigotine? Is Rotigotine safe for nursing mother and child? Does Rotigotine extracts into breast milk? Does Rotigotine has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Rotigotine influence milk supply or can Rotigotine decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of rotigotine during breastfeeding, but it suppresses serum prolactin and may interfere with breastfeeding. An alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
