Does (2-Ethoxy-1-naphthyl)penicillin extracts into breast milk? Does (2-Ethoxy-1-naphthyl)penicillin has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Although no information is available on the use of (2-Ethoxy-1-naphthyl)penicillin during breastfeeding, penicillins are generally not expected to cause adverse effects in breastfed infants. Occasionally disruption of the infant's gastrointestinal flora, resulting in diarrhea or thrush have been reported with penicillins, but these effects have not been adequately evaluated. (2-Ethoxy-1-naphthyl)penicillin is acceptable in nursing mothers.
