Is Xanthotoxine Safe in Breastfeeding

I am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it is safe to use Xanthotoxine? Is Xanthotoxine safe for nursing mother and child? Does Xanthotoxine extracts into breast milk? Does Xanthotoxine has any long term or short term side effects on infants? Can Xanthotoxine influence milk supply or can Xanthotoxine decrease milk supply in lactating mothers?

No information is available on the use of Xanthotoxine during breastfeeding. Expert opinion indicates that due to the photosensitizing effects of Xanthotoxine, breastfeeding should be withheld for 24 hours after an oral dose to allow for 95% of the drug to be eliminated in the mother's urine.[1][2] The same precaution probably applies to patients receiving Xanthotoxine as a part of therapy for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Use of topical Xanthotoxine is not contraindicated during breastfeeding,[3][4] but avoid direct contact of the treated skin with the skin of the infant.
